Things To Do In Las Vegas For Free

The ladies of Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Edition are making their way Vegas. Last night in New York, on the Late Show with David Letterman this year’s cover girl was announced by way of the “Top Ten List”. Russian beauty Irina Shayk Irina was announced as 2011’s winner. This is the fifth time she has appeared in the magazine.

The shopping is small town like in atmosphere and surrounds the park. The architecture is creative (a blend of Mediterranean, Spanish, and Colonial styles) and the shops are organized by theme (children, teen, adult, etc.) Opened in 2009, this is one of the newest malls in town and comes with 3 garages for plenty of free covered parking. (Quaint street parking inside the mall is metered.) The store selection includes everything you’d expect in a mall, plus a grocery store, with plenty to keep the children busy while you’re browsing. There is also a modern 18 screen movie theater for enjoying the latest shows.

If you are an avid shopper, shops and boutiques can be found in most of the Strip’s casino buildings and at the fashion show mall, located on the north end of the Strip. A variety of shops and malls can also be found a short drive away from the Las Vegas Strip.

The women all borded a plane this morning to head to Las Vegas for the Swimsuit Launch Party. During the ladies’ visit to Sin City, they will participate in special events open to the public. On Wednesday, visit STK steakhouse in the Cosmopolitan for “Dining with SI Swimsuit” from noon-2:00 p.m. After that, the ladies are heading to Diablo’s Mexican Cantina at Monte Carlo from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Here fans can take photos and get autographs, and a see a performance by the Jabbawockeez.

If you want to get out of Las Vegas, you can take a tour to the Grand Canyon or Lake Mead. Red Rock Canyon is just a short 17 mile drive from the Strip out Route 159 and only costs per carload. You can take the scenic drive, hike the canyons and see interesting exhibits at the visitors Center. I thought this was a highlight of my trip. There is a desert tortoise who lives behind the Visitors Center and it was fun to watch him in his habitat.

5)Reno Dr which turns into Koval Ln. This move is how the cabbies get back to the casinos. Reno Dr from Mandalay Bay and Luxor area you can take this road all the way to the back parking lot of The Venetian and Harrah’s. It will take you 15 minutes even when there is construction along the way.

One of the best things about gambling in Vegas are the free drinks. To take advantage of this, you need only to park yourself at a slot machine or other gaming area until a cocktail waitress rolls through calling ‘cocktails..cocktails.!?’ The drinks are free, but tips are expected, especially if you would like to continue to drink.
